Those are cute cars... What's the safety stats on those? It doesn't appear that there is much room between the car the pavement. Very stylish :-)

Eh, it's true that mass is an important part of safety, though so much as the conventional wisdom holds. High-mass vehicles like SUVs are much less safe than people generally think (sorry no stats at hand, but I posted about it a while back). But a low-mass vehicle is obviously less safe if it collides with a high-mass vehicle - think semi truck more than SUV.

I think mass limits for certain roadways (the way we have to many parkways in NYS) is a good idea.
