Has anyone checked out the new BoA security system for online transactions. After searching high and low for the best security system around, they actually bought the company that came up with and patented this pile of crap. You spend ten minutes selecting a picture, that is saved to your hard drive as a cookie. When you log in, THEIR website searches YOUR computer for the file. If it doesn't find it, it won't let you log on.

Sounds fair play you say?

Well, this "high tech" system never worked for me at all - every time I log in, I need to spend 10 chuffing minutes of my time selecting a picture. I emailed to complain. The response I got was baffling. Their "expert" told me that the system only works if their cookie stays on your computer. As I have my home computer set up to not accept cookies from anyone as they are devious little programs that spy on your every move, the system wouldn't work.

THEIR SOLUTION? They told me to TURN OFF the security measures I have installed on my computer to protect my personal information, and my privacy so that their security system could function properly and allow me free and unrestricted access to my money!!!!

Pure Genius!!

Cookies are not programs, and I've never seen an image get directly stored. There might be a reference to an image on BofA's servers. Cookies can be used for malicious purposes, but most the time they're used for tracking users on site security systems. It allows the servers to track a web session. There are other methods of doing this, but they're less reliable. So, you can go off on me for putting cookies on your computer because for the last 6 months I've been working on one of these silly systems.

BTW, I totally agree that BofA's system is just about the most annoying security system I've used. Thankfully, I'm in the process of moving all my accounts to USAA.

It's a real shame BofA was a great bank before Nations Bank swallowed them whole back in the mid '90s and took the name. I have an Aunt in San Francisco who won't stop complaining how the North Carolina company (Nations) ruined their laid back west coast culture at BofA.

News for you, bofa does sucks. their employess, at least most of them, have tons of salary doing shit, and have no clue of customer service. if i were you, i would withdraw my fund before something do happen.
again, MOST employees, NOT ALL. also, avoid any investment products from bofa. their analysts are bunch of i-fund expert, who got rejected from other IB firms, like citibank, goldman and other real IB companies.
do you know why they tag you with hefty charges with small chump return??? ask their salaries, that’s why….

BOA definitely sucks. My girlfriend and I both used it for a few months, but the fees were annoying. The same thing happened with us with an account that was linked that was opened in another state not covering the overdraft. They said the linked accounts from other states can't cover overdrafts, even though it was set up by them to do just that.
The final straw was when my girlfriend made a cash deposit at the counter in the bank one morning, then we went shopping and her card was declined. We called to find out why and they said there is a 3 day hold on all cash deposits. Yeah, a 3 day hold on cash. We asked for what, it's cash, and they told us it's their policy to make sure the cash isn't counterfeit and that process takes a few days. We didn't deposit millions of dollars, I think it was like $300. Anyway, we closed both our accounts that day.

If it walks like a piggy, talks like a piggy, by golly it’s a PIGGY!

BofA and it’s CEO Brian Moynihan reminds me of that song by John Lennon and George Harrison titled "Piggies" I invite you to listen to this song on youtube and see if it appropriately fits.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXdKlpBOvs0&feature=related

Have you seen the little piggies
Crawling in the dirt
And for all the little piggies
Life is getting worse
Always having dirt to play around in.

Have you seen the bigger piggies
In their starched white shirts
You will find the bigger piggies
Stirring up the dirt
Always have clean shirts to play around in.

In their ties with all their backing
They don't care what goes on around
In their eyes there's something lacking
What they need's a damn good whacking.

Everywhere there's lots of piggies
Living piggy lives
You can see them out for dinner
With their piggy wives
Clutching forks and knives to eat their bacon.

Wright vs. Bank of America Lawsuit at: unitedlawgroup.com

When I filed my lawsuit against Bank of America, myself and United Law Group thought of the many others out there in the same situation. It was then that we decided to educate the public on what these piggy banks are doing, as well as unite us all together as one voice. Please help me turn this David vs. Goliath modification process, into a Goliath vs. Goliath.
